Tom has been a licensed Mortgage Consultant since 1997. The vast majority of his clients are repeat clients and referrals from past clients and his professional network. This is a result of consistently providing honest advice and world class service.

Prior to becoming a licensed Mortgage Consultant, Tom worked for two local banks and a local credit union for 8 years. He was also a co-founder and General Partner for a local title company. This banking and lending experience combined with his mortgage and real estate experience provides him the ability to advise his clients on many aspects of Real Estate finance.

Alternative Surface Designs LLC specializes in custom decorative finishes for walls, ceilings and furniture working on commercial and residential projects of all shapes and sizes.  Although our specialty is in plasters, we also provide other finishes such as faux bois, faux stone, murals and glazing.  We create beautiful authentic lime-based Venetian Plaster finishes and we use specialty plasters for more flexibility in color and application methods to create unique, one-of-a-kind surface finishes.  Principle artist Sarah Sheppard has a background in Arts since childhood, and has attended Fine Arts Programs at the University of North Texas and Parsons School of Art and Design in New York City, NY.  To expand her knowledge of the decorative arts, she also attended the Institute of Surface Design in Boston (an ASID industry partner) and The Sarasota School of Decorative Arts in Florida.  Sarah is continually educating herself on new and modern trends for every season so as to offer you as many choices as possible.
