* Founded in 1886 by Vicente Martinez Ybor, this community became known as "the cigar capital of the world" and "cigar city" by the 1900s. The streets are lined up with a few remaining old cigar factory buildings and cobblestone/pavers still to date. This is an area rich in Florida history and a cherished spot of many Tampa residents, a great destination or place to live.
